Design

If you have a passion for art, and have graphic editing software available, why not try your hand at making some extra cash designing things online. It is a very competitive environment, but a lot of money can be made if you are good.

• 99 Designs- This is a site where companies will post contests to get crowd sourcing on design work ranging from logos to web page designs. Winnings are anywhere from $100 to a couple thousand dollars.
• Infectious- Here you can submit designs to be skinned onto things like laptops, ipods, walls, and more. Winnings depend on the contest, but a winning design will usually include royalties as well.
• Tutsplus Network- If you are really great at design, and think you can teach others, try writing a tutorial for the tutsplus network. They have sites covering everything from illustrator tuts to audio tutorials. You can earn $150 per tutorial.
• Graphicriver.net- A great place to submit graphics and other design work for users to download (at a price of course), and use in their own projects. You set your own pricing, and the files can be downloaded over and over. Envato runs the site, and they have a whole network of marketplaces where you can earn money selling your designs, layouts, audio clips, and more.

Writing

If you’re are an English major, or just have a knack for writing, don’t miss out on these awesome ways to make money using your writing skills.

• Scribd- On Scribd.com, you can publish and sell things like e-books, poetry, essays, how-to’s and more.  You set your own price, and earn  money every time one of your files is downloaded.
• Hubpages- Publish content on the site, and earn money from advertising on your “hubs”. This might take some time to get established before you see any revenue.
• Helium- You can make money selling articles in the marketplace, and enter writing contests to win cash prizes! Articles typically go for $20 to $200 in the Helium Marketplace.
• Associated Content- Publish article’s and receive between $2-$15, plus you can earn additional money based on how often your articles are viewed.

For Everyone

If you don’t have the skills for any of the options above, don’t sweat it. There are still plenty of ways you can make some cash online.

• Ebay- Got some old junk? why not sell it on ebay? It might not be the best way to make cash, but a lot of people are very successful with it.
• Student of Fortune- If you make good grades, you can sell your knowledge on Studentsoffortune.com. Students post things like homework questions and research papers for other students to do for them. Pay depends on how difficult the workload is, so be choosy.

• MySurvey- You can earn reward points, which are redeemed for cash, by simply taking surveys. There are a ton of websites where you can do this, but use them with caution because a lot of them aren’t legit.
