Get Class Notes Online

Get Class Notes Online

For many of us, taking notes in class usually doesn’t go over so well.  Mostly because we are sleeping, browsing facebook, or hung over from the night before. Still though, getting the notes is something that has to be done if you want to pass a college course.  Lucky for you (and myself), there is help!

Below is a collection of great websites where you can find the notes your classmate took while you were sleeping. Check them out!

1. GradeGuru.com

Screen shot gradeduru Get Class Notes Online

GradeGuru.com is a notes sharing website where you can find course-specific notes.  You can easily invite your friends and classmates to join so you can all benefit from the note sharing. A cool thing about GradeGuru is, when other users download your notes, you earn reward points which are redeemable for cash.

2. ShareNotes.com

Sharenotes.com is another awesome way to find notes for a class. You can browse notes by school, subject, class, and professor, so it is easy to find the notes you are looking for.  They have also made it very quick and easy to download the notes once you find them.  Another great feature of sharenotes.com is that you earn reward points everytime you download, post, or sell notes. These reward points are redeemable for items such as iPods, camcorders, gift cards and more!

3. WiseCampus.com

Screen shot wisecampus Get Class Notes Online

WiseCampus.com is built around student involvement, and is driven by users submitting and downloading notes.  Like Gradeguru, you can earn financial rewards by submitting your notes into the community.  Be sure to check out their rewards catalog to see what you can redeem your points for.

Additional Sites

Conclusion

Well, now that you have these great resources, you can feel better about sleeping during your professors lectures. (That last statement was mostly a joke.  You shouldn’t get in the habit of relying only on sites like these, but they definitely are very useful when you are unable to take notes.)

These are 3 of the best sites for online note sharing that I know of.  The great thing about them is that they are always growing, and you can be a part of that by submitting some of your own notes.  There is nothing better than getting rewarded by helping your classmates out by uploading your class notes.

Hello Dan great website I and another young entrepreneur like yourself just launched Paint Sprayer which is a great site for on-line college note sharing amongst other things. Check it and include it for your checklist if you want its growing fast and has a great deal of fantastic functions! To not point out it had been started by actual students in contrast to some of the other people you outlined. Cheers and many thanks for operating such an excellent site!

Thanks for the post and the awesome website. Just discovered it a few hours ago and I haven't stopped browsing the articles.

If this is within the rules, I would also like to mention that there's another all-around college site that I've recently found called uzackly.com. They also let you share notes, along with networking classmates in a few other ways.

I like using evernote for note taking especially since it has a built in ocr software that will capture any words within pictures that you may want to include with your notes. It's also able to sync over multiple devices.

Get resources for those students who missed class due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, but it can't be as beneficial as actually going to class. You have to have a lot of faith in those who are uploading the notes!

Wow, you really opened my eyes! I’ve been using Evernote too (glad to hear I’m not SO far behind everyone else), but I had no idea about all these other options. I’m a ‘back to school late in life’ crowd, therefor so many of these things are just mindblowing to me. I wish I had a fraction of these resources back when I went through undergrad the first time around about 25 years ago! Oh well… better late than never, right? Thanks for helping me out considerably!

mensagens is a college-based website, where you can buy and sell lecture notes, reading notes and study guides. Additionally it provides individual students with the opportunity to directly connect with the peers in each of their university courses for purposes such as; forming study groups, exchanging appropriate material such as their own interpretation of notes or study guides, finding peer to peer mentorship or tutoring services, and getting to know their fellow classmates.

Its free to use however, its only available to the University of Arizona for the Fall 08 and it will expand to 15 schools in the Spring 09 semester. Write info@notehall.com if you want it at your school next!

The increased accessibility to course specific notes through networking sites bring more benefits than initially predicted. It is a given that the student traffic flow would be desirable for marketing and advertisement campaigns, and on the other hand students may benefit directly by attaining notes they lack due to various reasons. Moreover, it gives student an alternative to either save on purchasing notes from the college printshop; or seek to print directly from home. This gives way to cost savings with regards to ink cartridges which is a ‘by-product’ of these collection of these advantageous note sharing webpages.
