Organization is something that I have always struggled with. It seems that no matter how many times I try to get my school work in order, it always gets messed up again. In the past, being unorganized has caused me to lose important papers and miss deadlines a few times. Recently though, I have been working to improve my organization skills, and I must say that they have been improving.

To help keep my schoolwork and electronics organized I have been using products from Velcro®. Velcro® has a range of products that stick, hang, and strap to help keep everything you need where it needs to be.

Ditch the Cork Board

My favorite product from Velcro® is their new display boards. They are basically cork boards from the future. Velcro® replaces the old method of sticking thumbtacks in a cork board  with a nifty velcro system. Velcro-backed clips take the place of thumbtacks, so there are no more tiny holes in your papers. These clips hold to the board securely, and are perfect for hanging up anything from to-do lists to the rough draft of a research paper. The clips even come in multiple colors incase you want to take organization one step further with color coordination.

Clips aren’t the only thing you can use to hang on your Velcro® display board though. They have accessories like hook tape, adhesive ovals, and display frames, which are perfect for framing hanging photos on the display board. Even if you’re still attached to those push-pins you’re in luck. They go in and come out clean on the display boards.

Another thing I was impressed with is that the board hangs on the wall via easy peel adhesive strips. This makes the boards perfect for dorm rooms because when removed, the board leaves no evidence of being on the wall.

Display boards aren’t the only way Velcro® helps you stay organized though. If you’re anything like me and find your electronics in a wiry mess there is a solution.

Master Electronic Wires

Between iPods, cellphone chargers, headphones, and computer cords, there is a good chance you have a jumble of wires lurking at the bottom of a drawer. I did, and it would frustrate me to no end trying to untangle my headphones from the four other cords they were attached to. Velcro® offers and easy solution to this problem with their One-Wrap® straps. The straps keep wires neatly looped together and come in 5 bright colors.  I have yet to find a better way to keep my drawer of jumbled wires organized and easily accesible.

Get Hooked

I have to say the Velcro brand is helping to make this whole organization thing more achievable. I am very pleased with the products I have used. If I had to complain about one thing it would be that the display boards only come in one size, 14″ x 14″. However, since the boards are perfect squares, they can be put together in a checkerboard formation as large as you want. So it’s not really a problem. I’ll be keeping my eyes on Velcro® to see what useful accessory they come out with next.  The ease of use and functionality of Velcro® products have really got me hooked.
