Cramster.com is one of the top websites for help with your studies. I was initially skeptical about online study sites, because I know that it’s considered better to do the problems by yourself. However, after using the website, it increased my efficiency by tenfold. I was spending over 5 hours a night doing homework questions that just stumped me. As an engineering student, my homework questions can be extremely difficult and a simple hint here would be a huge help. This site allows you to utilize many different types of help you accomplish your homework or to study for tests and quizzes.

Simply because this site is free to join, you should try it out. With a free account you can view only the odd answers from your textbooks and ask one question per day. Of course, there are many benefits to getting a paid account, but you will see how much it can help you even from a free account. With this basic free account you can still utilize most of the site’s sections (which I describe below) and also be able to see even problems from your textbooks. I upgraded to the Gold account, that way I had access to the odd solutions and could ask 3 questions per day. The Gold account costs 50 dollars a year, which is about $4.25 a month, and believe me I get my money’s worth.

Resources

Another benefit of the site is the Resources tab. You can search their site for Outlines, Equation Sheets, Helpful Web Pages, Lecture Notes, and Video Lectures regarding the topic you desire. Their main areas they concentrate their material on are Math, Science, and other Engineering related courses. Of course, other material is also there though. Personally, I love equation sheets and outlines because then I can have them right next to me as I attempt problems.

Practice

There is even a section for practice questions. Sometimes, the best way to become better in a topic is to repeat the same type of questions multiple times. This part of the site allows you to do that and you can even pick what difficulty you want as well. This is amazing for people like me, who need to do the problem over and over before I truly understand how to do it. Finding practice problems with walk through answers can be difficult and on this site it’s at the tip of your fingers.

Q&A Board

One key feature that this site has is the Q&A Board. In many occasions, the problem you are stumped on is not from a book or it just plain not on the site. This is exactly where the Q&A Board comes into play; you type in your question and when it is due by and it will be answered step by step for you very quickly. I have used this many times when I couldn’t find my problem anywhere online and I received step by step answers within hours. You can ask questions about basically any topic and hear back within a couple days at maximum.
